The sky was clear and the sun was setting. The colour of the sky is completely natural, without any artificial correction, which is unnecessary under the South African sky. You just need to “underexpose” the subject to create a silhouette. Being in the right place at the right time is also part of photography.

Each photo is the result of several years of safaris across the African savannah. The beauty of these animals is universal and timeless, and I try to convey emotion in every shot. In these lands where nature still reigns supreme, I have learned to observe, wait and listen. These images are the fruit of that patience.
Nothing is staged. Each shot captures an authentic moment, experienced in silence, often with bated breath. No retouching, no digital manipulation: each image is an authentic trace of a real moment. Wildlife photography is not staging, it is an encounter. Nature is captured as it is, unpredictable, untameable, and incredibly beautiful.
