Safari Time

First exhibition by Denis Asch

September 2013

Through these 25 photographs, he shares an experience where patience, listening and light become the true guides. Each photograph presented here is the result of hours of silent observation, often from dawn until the last moments of dusk. The photographer sought to capture not only the beauty of the animals, but also the subtle balances that govern their world.

A look back at the event

This exhibition marks an important milestone in the photographer’s career: the transition from intimate field experience to sharing his work with the public for the very first time.

The exhibition reveals this diversity:

  • vast landscapes, where animal silhouettes blend into the immensity;
  • scenes of behaviour, captured on the spot, bearing witness to the natural dynamics of wildlife;
  • portraits, where every glance, every texture of fur, becomes a unique encounter.

Beyond their aesthetic dimension, these images invite us to reflect on the fragility of the ecosystems that gave birth to them. Photograph after photograph, the savannah appears as a living, vibrant, but also vulnerable space, whose balance depends on our ability to preserve it. The photographer has chosen to support the savetherhino association on this occasion.
